Build a subscription inventory someone else can understand
Write clear service and cancellation notes without turning them into a password list.
Record the service and billing route
For each recurring service, record its name, billing interval, cost and where it is managed. A subscription billed through an app store may follow a different cancellation route from one billed directly by the provider.
Write instructions, not passwords
Explain where to find the official cancellation process and what records may be needed. Avoid putting passwords, recovery codes or payment-card details into general notes. Subscription Graveyard focuses on service metadata and practical handover instructions.
Review with your trusted person
Check whether another person can understand the notes without your explanation. Instructions do not themselves grant account access or legal authority; the provider’s requirements still apply.
Keep the inventory current
Update the record when a price, billing route or subscription changes. If using check-in mode, review its interval and handover settings before enabling it. A reliable inventory depends on current information rather than a one-time setup.
