Make the task small enough to begin

A useful prompt gives you one specific thing to notice. Set a short time window and focus on an observation rather than a polished performance. Spark uses daily prompts and community responses to turn that small starting point into a shared experience.

Writing ideas

Describe where you are right now. Write what an object on your desk would say if it could speak. Name one small thing that made today better, and explain why it mattered. These examples are ideas to try, not a promise about the app’s current daily schedule.

Photo and audio ideas

Photograph a repeated shape or two colors that meet in the same frame. For audio, make a ten-second rhythm using paper or record a sound that reminds you of home. Avoid recording private conversations or sharing recognizable people without permission.

Explore another interpretation

After responding, look at how someone else approached the same idea. The point is to notice a different perspective, not to rank your day against theirs. Spark’s gallery supports text, visual and audio responses according to the prompt.
